OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Medical Assistant program is to prepare the student to assist the physician in the examination and treatment of patients, and to perform tasks needed in medical office operations. Graduates of this comprehensive program will have the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the Medical Assistant field.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

Students will experience a blend of classroom theory and hands-on clinical laboratory training that will enable them to quickly grasp the special requirements of the Medical Assistant. In addition, the student will have the opportunity to participate in a Medical Assistant Externship program.
